I quote per project, not per hour. If the scope grows, I tell you what it costs before I build it.

I study alongside this, so I'd rather be upfront about that than promise instant replies.
I don't disappear after launch
If something I built breaks, I fix it. That's not a new project.
QUESTIONS
Before you email me
The things people usually ask me first.
What if I don't know what I need?
That's how most projects start, so it's not a problem. Tell me what's slowing you down in normal language and I'll tell you what it would take. Sometimes the honest answer is that you don't need me, and I'll say that too.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. The code, the domain and the hosting account are all in your name. If you ever want to hand it to another developer, nothing is locked and there's nothing to buy back.
What happens if something breaks?
If something I built breaks, I fix it. That's not a new project and I don't bill it as one. Most people keep me on for small changes afterwards anyway.
Why is this cheaper than an agency?
There's no sales team, no project manager and no office to pay for. You're paying for the work itself instead of the overhead around it.
How quickly will you reply?
Within a day or two. I'd rather tell you that honestly than promise an instant reply and then miss it.

I build websites and internal tools for small businesses in Belgium. Most of it is hand-coded React and Next.js, plus whatever needs connecting to the systems you already use.
There's no account manager and nobody hands your project to a junior. The person you email is the person writing the code, and I'm still around when something needs changing.
